Website privacy policy.

This policy explains what personal information norvelle technologies inc. collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Patient health information is never collected here.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This website is operated by norvelle technologies inc. ("norvelle", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle the personal information of people who visit this website, submit a form on it, or receive email from us because they asked to.

This policy covers this website only.

The norvelle platform is a separate system with separate rules. This marketing website does not collect and does not store patient health information. Patient information held in the norvelle platform is governed by each clinic, as the health information custodian or trustee under the privacy law of its province, and by the agreements between that clinic and norvelle. To read how the platform protects patient information, see our security and compliance page at /security.

2. Accountability

Our privacy officer is responsible for our personal information practices and for compliance with this policy.

Contact the privacy officer with any question, request, or complaint about your personal information. Section 10 explains your rights and how we respond.

3. What we collect

We collect little, and only what this site needs to work.

  • Contact and demo request forms. Your name, work email address, organization or clinic name, your phone number if you choose to give it, and the message you write.
  • Newsletter signup, if we offer one. Your email address and a record of your consent.
  • Server logs. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, timestamps, and the referring page. We keep logs for security and troubleshooting.
  • Analytics identifiers. Cookie-based identifiers and usage events, collected only after you consent through the cookie banner. Our cookie policy at /cookies lists them.

We do not collect patient health information through this website. Please do not submit any. If you are a patient, contact your clinic directly. If a form submission reaches us containing health information, we will delete it and point you to your clinic.

4. Why we collect it

We use the information above to:

  • respond to your inquiries,
  • schedule and run the demos you request,
  • send you communications you asked for,
  • understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and
  • keep the site secure and diagnose problems.

That is the whole list. If we ever want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask you first.

When you submit a form on this site, you give express consent to the use described beside that form. We never pre-tick a consent box.

You can withdraw consent at any time.

  • Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. We honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
  • Analytics cookies run only after you accept them. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the cookie preferences link in the site footer.
  • For anything else, email our privacy officer.

Withdrawing consent does not undo uses that happened while your consent was in effect.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that run this website, and each one receives only what it needs:

  • hosting providers, which serve the site and store form submissions,
  • analytics providers, which process usage data after you consent, and
  • email delivery providers, which send the messages you asked for.

We never sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Analytics processing may take place outside Canada. For example, if we use Google Analytics, usage data is processed on Google servers in the United States. While information is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, and courts and authorities there may be able to access it.

7. Where your information is stored

This website, its form submissions, and its logs are hosted by our website hosting provider. Ask our privacy officer if you want to know who that provider is and where it hosts.

Patient health information in the norvelle platform is a separate matter: the platform keeps it in Canadian data centres. Our security and compliance page at /security explains how.

8. Retention

We keep personal information as long as the purpose we collected it for requires, plus the time we need to prove consent was given. Then we delete it.

  • Form submissions: kept while we handle your inquiry, then for a limited period after it closes, and then deleted.
  • Consent records for email: kept while you are subscribed, then for a limited period after you unsubscribe, so we can prove your consent existed.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
  • Analytics data: kept for the periods listed in our cookie policy at /cookies.

9. Safeguards

  • All traffic between your browser and this site is encrypted with TLS.
  • Access to form submissions is limited to the people who need them to do their jobs.
  • We collect the minimum. The less we hold, the less there is to lose.

10. Your rights

You can ask us at any time:

  • what personal information we hold about you, and to see it. We respond within 30 days.
  • to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • to withdraw consent, as described in section 5.
  • to delete your information, where no legal duty requires us to keep it.

If you live in Quebec, you can also ask us to stop disseminating your personal information, and to give you the information you provided us in a structured, commonly used technological format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our privacy officer (section 2). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or to the privacy regulator of your province. In Quebec, that is the Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca). Start with our privacy officer; most issues resolve there.

11. Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies as described in our cookie policy at /cookies, which lists every cookie we set, what it does, and how to change your choices.

12. Changes to this policy

When our practices change, we update this policy and note when the change took effect. If a change is significant, we will post a clear notice on this page before it takes effect.

The platform has its own privacy story

This policy covers the website. The platform keeps patient information in Canada, encrypted, audited, with your clinic as the custodian.
